Employee turnover trends in 2017

Total employee turnover has increased over the last few years, rising from 15.1% in 2013 to 18.5% in 2017. Voluntary turnover, when employee separation is not initiated by the employer, is reported at 13.5% this year. That's up from 9.1% five years ago.
